Garnett Arthur Buzzard, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence in Grove, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving wife, Wilma and daughter Kari. Garnett was born on February 13, 1935 in Fairland, Oklahoma. He was the last living child of Arthur and Etta (Deweese) Buzzard. After graduating from Fairland high school, Garnett proudly served in the United States Army. He and his twin brother Garrett were the first twins to be inducted since 1948. They were stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas and then served together in Western Germany with Company A, 80th Division. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Wilma England at the First Baptist Church in Miami on December 21, 1957. Garnett worked for the B.F. Goodrich Tire Company for over 28 years. After their closing in 1985, he worked in Real Estate and Automotive Sales. Garnett had a passion for sports cars, including working on them and going to car shows. He also enjoyed investing in real estate and remodeling his homes. He and Wilma enjoyed line dancing. He was a very kind and loving Husband, Father, Uncle and Friend that will be dearly missed. Garnett was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Etta Buzzard, his twin brother Garrett and his wife Carol, his brother Burl Buzzard, his brother Blaine Buzzard, his sister Cleta Collier, his brother John Buzzard, and his niece Peggy Buzzard. He is survived by his wife Wilma of the home, two daughters Kristi Dietz-Divin and her husband Micheal of Dallas, Texas and Kari McFarland of Grove, Oklahoma. He was blessed with two grandchildren Tyler Dietz and Blair Dietz and great grandchild Ariana. Garnett is also survived by his nephew Mark Buzzard and three nieces Jody Declue, Sharlene Miser and Shirley Lane. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, both at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma with Mr. Jordan Boyd officiating.
