Gary Shipley

Gary W. Shipley, a resident of Dewey, joined Jesus in Heaven on June 30, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5th in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Bridges officiating. Internment will be in the Martin Cemetery under the direction of the Benjamin Funeral Home. Gary was born in Emporia, Kansas on January 6, 1964. He graduated from Nowata High School in 1982. He is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Epps and her husband Jim of Dewey, his brother Raleigh Shipley and his wife Phyllis of Copan, his sister-in-law Sylvia Shipley of Nowata, his sister Violet Millikin and Fred of Pryor, and two special sisters, Dianna Phelps and husband Jeff of Bartlesville, and Denise Margerum and husband Steve of Mesquite, Texas, as well as all his cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Jewel Dean Shipley, and a brother Walter Shipley. Gary touched so many lives. He was known by many and loved by all and will be missed.
