Gary Taylor

Gary L. Taylor, 74, died Sunday, December 19th 2010 after a brief illness in Grove, Oklahoma. Gary was born in Pratt, Kansas on June 27, 1936; the second son of Bedford and Viola ‘Jeanne' Taylor. As a young man Gary became a barber in Lawrence, Kansas. He moved to Oklahoma where he became a successful businessman. Gary loved to fish, hunt, as well as spend time with the Buzzard's, listen to jazz and watch his favorite basketball team Kansas University. Gary is survived by Marjie Doan and Betty Onstott, his first cousins, Vicki Nett and Kristi Dutton his second cousins, along with numerous other cousins. Gary had a very special extended family he leaves behind. Mark and Bonnie Buzzard of Grove, Oklahoma, and two grandchildren Erin Buzzard of Grove, Oklahoma and Jeremy Buzzard and wife Emily of Clarksville, Tennessee, along with many other dear friends and classmates extending from Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas. Gary's father Bedford and mother Jeanne Taylor along with his older brother Bill precede him in death. The family would like to extend their thanks to those who helped with the care during the illness and death and those who enriched his life. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
