Geneva Jackson

Geneva Mae Jackson, 92 year old Pensacola resident, passed away Tuesday, Novmeber 5, 2013 at the home of Sherry Hayes in Pensacola, where she was residing. Geneva was born in Vinita on May 9, 1921 to J. W. and Nellie (Muncy) Minson. On July 4, 1958 she was united in marriage to J. T. Jackson. Geneva enjoyed traveling with her husband. They lived in Italy, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Pryor, Oklahoma. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and gardening. Survivors include her step children: J. T. Jackson, Jr. of Tennessee, Joy Candace Hancock of Missouri, and John David Jackson of Texas, siblings: Louis Minson and wife Helen of Vinita, Donny Minson and wife Alma of Pensacola, Robert "Bob" Minson and wife Betty of Miami, sister-in-laws: Margaret Minson of South Dakota and Frances Minson of Duncan, OK, special niece and nephew Sherry and John Hayes of Pensacola, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents J. W. and Nellie Minson, husband J. T. Jackson, and siblings: Imogene Ramsey, Billy Minson, Glen Minson, and Tom Minson. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
