Geneva Stanley

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555. Geneva Lorene Stanley, 94 year old former area resident, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Raymore, Missouri. She was born on September 16, 1922 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Ocie and Mona (Ackart) Nazworthy. Geneva attended Vinita schools and later married Ray Stanley on August 10, 1941 in Vinita at the First Church of God. She worked as a machine operator at TRW Cinch for several years. Geneva was a member of the First Church of God in Miami. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ray, and nine siblings. The family includes her children; Phylis Biggerstaff and husband Steve of Brighton, Missouri, James "Jim" Stanley and wife Donna of Kansas City, Missouri, Beverly Newton of Raymore, Missouri and Donna Byram and husband Gerald of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Wednesday December 28, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, with Pastor Ken Higgins officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
