Genevieve Harrison

Genevieve Harrison, age 93 died Thursday June 25, 2009 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Miami, OK. She was born August 10, 1915 in Afton, OK the daughter of William E. Welch and Dora Paden Welch. Genevieve was a lifetime resident of Afton and graduated from Afton High School then attended two years at NEO in Miami. She and Mack Harrison were united in marriage in 1938 and she worked at seventeen years at Buffalo Ranch retiring in 1985 and was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Rebecca Lodge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack, her parents, a brother William E. Welch. Surviving family include one son, Billy Harrison of Afton, a grand daughter, Stacey Wilks and husband Eric of Edmond, OK and great grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Wilks also of Edmond and one sister Lucille Bennett of Littleton, CO. Graveside services will be Monday June 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton, OK with Rev. Chuck Price officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
