George Coggin

George A Coggin, 83 year old Grove, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Grove. George was born on October 12, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama to Asa Jackson Coggin and Frances Elizabeth (Cunningham) Coggin. After high school George proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and later in the Korean Conflict. George married Louise Toten on January 4, 1960 in Tijuana, Mexico. Together they had six children. George was preceded in death by two sons, Roger abd Dwayne George is survived by his wife Louise, of the home, sons, George Edward Clinton of Whitter, California , California, Richard Allen Coggin, of Foley, Alabama, and David Edward Coggin of Seminole, Flordia, a daughter, Vickey Elizabeth Coggin of Grove, Oklahoma. George is also survived by brothers Eddie Watson and Frank Watson, both of Atlanta, Georgia, and a sister Bella Watson, also of Atlanta Georgia, and a cousin Betty McMillan of Birmingham, Alabama. A memorial service for George will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
