Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555 George Richard "Dick" Kuehne, 72 year old well known Vinita resident, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the family farm. He was born on October 2, 1944 in Oklahoma City to W. W. "Doc" and Mary (McKinnis) Kuehne. Dick grew up in Big Cabin and graduated from Big Cabin High School in 1962. On December 8, 1973 he married the love of his life Debbie (Chisam) Kuehne, they had been married 43 wonderful years. Dick worked as a barber at York's Barber Shop for several years, then went to work for the Heinz Company and retired from there. He later opened his own barber shop "GR's" in Vinita, he was currently working part-time with Dustin Garrett at Sportsman Barber Shop in Vinita. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman, and really just enjoyed his time watching wildlife. He attended the First Church of God in Vinita. The family includes: his wife Debbie of the home; their loving family dog " Holly"; his sisters, Karen Springer of Vinita and Judy Kanmore of Big Cabin; numerous nieces and nephews; four wonderful and dear friends, Robert and Sheryl Young, Bruce and Rita Young, all of Vinita, Steve and Tammy Loveland of Pryor and Dustin Garrett of Vinita. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Mary Kuehne, and a brother Charles Kuehne in 2011. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the First Church of God in Vinita. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the First Church of God in Vinita, with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating.
