George Leake, 88 year old Vinita resident, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013. George was born in Mehan, OK on December 26, 1925 to William and Dona (Roberts) Leake. He served in the United States Marine Corp during some of the worst of World War II. George worked as a carpenter for many years. He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards at the senior citizens building, and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife LeElla of the home, children: Debra Sumpter and husband Bill of Tulsa, Keith Leake and wife Arrahwanna of Vinita, Step-Children; Virgil Borgstrom and wife Shelly of Big Cabin, and Rhonda Willyard of Adair, siblings: Charlie Leake, Maxine Cly, Irvin Leake, Don Leake, Bill Leake, Art Leake, Faye Baker, Jerry Leake, grandchildren: Dayton Likins and wife Julie, Chenoia Leake, Brittany Leake, Brandon Leake. Step grandchildren; Ron Willyard (LeeAnn),Chris Willyard, Greg Borgstrom (Stacie), Tom Borgstrom (Kim), and great grandson Ryan Leake and Step-Great Grandchildren Kahloe Willyard, Kylee Willyard, Amy Borgstrom, Rachel Borgstrom and Maley Borgstrom. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Pearl Leake, and siblings: Leroy Leake, Walter Leake, Ella Kuhar, and Lola Inglehart and Kenneth Leake Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Big Cabin Christian Church with Pastor Max B.
