Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com George Loyd Peoples, 82, passed away October 12, 2012 at his home in Nowata. He was born on July 23, 1930 in Altamont, Kansas to Hal Timothy and Ethel Pearl (Miles) Peoples. He grew up in the Alluwe area and graduated from Alluwe High School. He was an over the road truck driver for over 53 years. George married Jo Rowland on February 15, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They lived in Tulsa for a period of time before moving back to Delaware and later, Nowata. He was a member of the Hillside Christian Church and liked to read. George is survived by a grandson, David Peoples; a great grandson, Kyle Peoples; a niece, Celeste Tolar; two brothers, Lewis Peoples and Hal Peoples; one sister, Dorothy Hiett, also his caretaker, Aliene Robertson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Ethel Peoples, and his wife Jo Peoples.
