Georgia Cox-Lawrence, 96 year old Vinita resident, passed away Sunday December 7, 2014 at the Heartsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vinita. She was born on February 22, 1918 in the Estella District of Craig County, to Samuel and Fannie (Fritz) Hilderbrand. Georgia was a graduate of Chilocco Indian School. She married Clinton "Bud" Cox, he preceded her in death in 1968, and her second husband Bill Lawrence preceded her in death also. Georgia is the last of nine brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Bunker Hill Baptist Church. The family includes: her son Ronnie Cox and wife Virrina of Vinita; three grandchildren, Tracy Turner and husband Donny, Randy Cox and wife Kristen, Jason Cox, all of Vinita; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, there are also numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives surviving. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 am, at the Timpson Chapel Cemetery, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating.
