Georgia Proctor

Georgia Ann Jones Proctor, age 87 passed away Friday, September 4, 2009 at her residence. Georgia was born on May 13, 1922 in Delaware County to Samuel Smith and Lucy Smith (Teehee). Georgia was a lifetime member of Piney Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school in Cherokee for 30 years. Georgia is survived by her son, Rufus Jones, daughter, Ella Mae Jones (Mark Buffington), sisters, Ella Ketcher and Velma Standingwater both of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Justin, Derek, Jeremiah, Dylan and Anthony. Georgia is preceded in death by husbands, Tom Jones who passed away in 1987 and Daniel Proctor who passed away in 2003, son, Charlie Jones in 2009, brothers, Edd Smith in 1999 and Frank Smith in 1997, sister, Lou Emma Chewey in 2007 Family will receive friends Monday, September 7, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 7, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Baptist Church with Rev. John Gonzales and Rev. Stanley Grass officiating. Burial will follow at O'field Cemetery.
