Geraldine James

Geraldine "Jerry" Ida James, age 83, died on Tuesday March 29, 2011 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Jerry the daughter of Eugene and Pearl (Schultz) Cain was born on November 13, 1927 in Stuttgard, Arkansas. At the Judge's house, Geraldine was united in marriage to LeRoy James on December 27, 1944 in New Kirk, Oklahoma. Approximately fourteen years ago, she and her husband moved to Jay from Lebonon, Missouri. Jerry's hobbies included sewing, gardening, canning, baking, country music, square dancing and feeding the hummingbirds. She was a member the book club and the Mount Hermon Baptist Church. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 66 years LeRoy James of the home, two daughters Peggy Lee James and Joyce Lynn Hiatt and her husband Neil. She was also blessed with six grandchildren Rodelia Sands and her husband Kevin, Terri Renee Herrmann, Patrice Michelle Hebert and her husband Brett, James Allan O'Connor, Jeffrey Spencer Hiatt and his wife Shelley and Jennifer Lynn Popes and her husband Tray, also twelve great-grandchildren Alexandria Nicole Dixon, Maddysen Alexie Hiatt, Alexis Nicole Black, Clint Justin Black, Aubrey Lynn Popes, Howie Neil Popes, Devin Nanni, Shala Hebert, Connor Hebert, Patrick Hebert, Sean O'Connor, Donovan O'Connor, two brothers, one sister, plus lots of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Along with special friends Tom & Virginia Sullivan. A Visitation will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Mt. Hermon Church with Reverend Brandon McCombs officiating. Jerry will be laid to rest at Mt. Hermon Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. Serving as casket bearers will be Jeffrey Hiatt, Kevin Sands, Edward Sullivan, Mike James, Ronnie Shanks, Rickie Shanks, and Jason Sands. Honorary casket bearers will be Tommy Sullivan, Neil Hiatt, Jon Sullivan, Gary Clearwater, David Kerr, Tommy Cain, Tom Roland and Billy Roland.
