Geraldine Richie

Geraldine "Gerrie" H. Richie, 71 year old Eucha, Oklahoma resident passed away Sunday August 14, 2011, at the Integris Grove General Hospital. Gerrie was born on October 20, 1939 in Disney, Oklahoma to Claude "Hopper" and Oma Mae (Howard) Hanna. She was a real estate agent for many years and was an avid Crotchetier and quilter. She also collected antiques, especially blue willow, and loved to cook and bake for her family, she loved gardening and playing cards and even going on float trips with the family. Gerrie was preceded in death by her parents, husband H.B. Richie, and brother Jess Hanna. Gerrie is survived by two sons, Randy Richie of Fort Brag, North Carolina, and Jim Richie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter Sandy and husband Jesse Vaughn, of Jay, Oklahoma, sisters, Pat and husband Ray Sanders of Salina, Oklahoma, and Kathy and husband Mike, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gerrie is also survived by nine grandchildren, Blair Richie, Brook Richie, Beth Richie, Hanna Richie Keller, Heather Richie, Trenton Vaughn, Colton Vaughn, Jessica Greer, Delaney Vaughn, and, three great grandchildren Javier, Arely "Chica", and Bradee, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Gerrie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Jay, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma.
