Gladis Martha (Freeman) Leaf, 66 year old resident of rural Afton (Duck Creek), died Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Landmark Hospital in Joplin. She was born April 3, 1947 in Vohenstrauss, Germany to S. D. and Margrit Freeman. Gladis was married to Mickey Leaf in 1974 in Vinita. She was retired from Cinch Connectors after 23 years with them. The family includes: her husband Mickey of the home, her children, Richard Freeman and wife Regina of Ketchum, Angela Bible and husband Kurt of Chelsea, Melissa Evans and Fiancee Murray Frapp of Vinita, and Deborah Leaf-Chandler and husband Rex of Ketchum, step-children, Michael Leaf of Chelsea and Tamara Leaf of Chelsea; a sister Dorothy Nutwell and husband Barry of Waldorf, Maryland; nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, also the dogs she loved Babe and Cotton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel in Langley. The funeral will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ketchum, with Rev. Norman "Buddy" Bolin officiating. Interment will follow at the Ketchum Cemetery.
