Gladys Loretta Welborn was born on October 16, 1947, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Calvin McDonald and Lorene (Smith) McDonald. She was raised in Sulphur and received her education in the Chilicco Indian School. She had been a Pawhuska resident for the past 40 years. She was married to Charles Andrew "Chock" Cass on February 20, 1964 in Pawhuska. Mr. Cass preceded her in death in 1999. Gladys was a 20-year employee of the Pawhuska Public Schools, where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Her children and grandchildren brought great joy into her life. In her earlier years, Gladys enjoyed all sports and especially enjoyed playing softball. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles "Chock" Cass; and two brothers, Harold and Alden McDonald. She is survived by her children, Charles "Chock" Cass, Summer Cass; and Danny Cass; foster children, Chris Turley, Kevin Martin and Tim Allen; grandchildren, Jacob Cass, Lauren Leland, Whitney Cass and Jamison Cass; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Cass, Odin Leland, Illyssa Leland, Brianna Cass, Kaylee Eutsler and Danica Cass; and three sisters, Adrean Clary, Mamie Eddy and Pat Skipworth.
