Glenna Darlene Teel passed away Saturday, December 16, 2012 at her home in Delaware. She was born on June 3, 1941 in Nowata to Wayne Harry and Hazel Beatrice (Roberts) Driskill. Darlene grew up in the Lenapah area, graduating from Lenapah High School in 1959. She married Tommy R. Teel on August 4, 1959 at Miami, OK. Darlene worked as payroll clerk and assistant manager of Gibson's Discount Center in Coffeyville, KS for more than 15 years and for Alco of Nowata for three years. She lived most of her life in Nowata County, except for brief periods in Texas and Colorado. Darlene loved Jesus, her family and spending time reading her Bible. She was a member of Lenapah United Methodist Church and was known for her awesome cinnamon rolls. Darlene is survived by four children, Debra D. Long and husband Bryan of Ruthven, Iowa, Rick D. Teel and wife Nannette of Oswego, Kansas, Troy A. Teel and of Lenapah, Melinda B. Lucas and husband Doug of Delaware; a sister, Wanda Mae Felton of Lenapah, nineteen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Hazel Driskill, her husband Tommy Richard Teel, a grandson, Trevor Wayne Beard, a granddaughter, Shawna Kay Parrett; a sister, Rubie Marie Sanders; a brother, Hershel A. Decker.
