Gloria Waddell

Luginbuel Funeral Home - 918-256-5555 - Gloria Waddell, former Vinita resident, passed away August 18, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born March 16, 1931 in Vinita to Howard O. and Nell (Peterman) Waddell. Gloria graduated from Vinita High School and continued her education at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri earning her degree in Fashion Merchandising. Throughout her life she worked at Styx, Bear and Fuller in St. Louis the Denver Dry Goods Company, Denver, Colorado, and several places in Indianapolis, including Volunteer work at the Methodist Church. Gloria retired in Indianapolis. Although she was never married Gloria was in a permanent, loving relationship. They had no children of their own, but Gloria enjoyed her sisters ‘children as if they were her own.
Preceding Gloria in death are her parents, Howard and Nell Waddell, a sister Nell Louise Waddell, a brother Orin Waddell, and a nephew, Robert Ives.
Survivors include a sister, Patricia L. Waddell Boatright, and several nephews.
