ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Goldie B. Hadley, age 88 and resident of Dewey, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in The Journey Home, Bartlesville. Goldie was born on April 4, 1927 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Wilmot N. Hewitt and Dovie (Royer) Hewitt. She was raised and received her formal education in the Nowata community. Goldie and George D. Hadley married on March 6, 1946 in Independence, Kansas. She was a homemaker and raised four sons and a daughter. George preceded Goldie in death on August 16, 1985. She had continued her residence in Dewey since that time. Goldie attended the Dewey Church of God. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping. She loved to cook and was an especially good one. For a period of time, she had a day-care in her home where she cared for many children. However, the most important time spent was with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George. Goldie is survived by her sons, Louis E. Hadley and his wife, Sandy, of Dewey, Alvin D. Hadley and his wife, Sandy, of Wann, Oklahoma, George D. Hadley, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, of Bartlesville, and Wilmot Hadley and his wife, Sharon, of Nowata; and daughter, Diane Green of Dewey. Goldie had 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, from 1:00-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Services will be held on Friday, October 9, at 10:00 AM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Ross Adkins will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery.
