Grace Fussell

Grace Irene Beatrice Fussell, 86, of Delaware passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009 at her residence. Grace was born on September 15, 1922 in Bartlesville to Clyde A. Sanders and Bertha M. Coleston Sanders. She attended Childers Public Schools and Chilocco High School. She moved to Louisiana in 1959 and moved back to Oklahoma in May of 2004. Grace was a waitress for over 20 years she worked at several prestigious hotels including the Roosevelt which later turned into the Farmount in New Orleans. She is survived by her son John Daniels of Delaware, 3 sisters Eda Harrison of Nowata, Dora Mae and her husband Jim Pendleton of Bartlesville, and Clyandia Harrington of Delaware, 2 God Grandchildren Cynthia Williams and Keith Tiner of New York, and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Dewey O. Fussell of 54 years, her parents Clyde and Bertha Sanders, 2 brothers Harold Sanders and Jim Sanders and 2 sisters Johnnie Reed, and Juanita Tenet. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel in Nowata with Chaplin Roger Sheppard officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Mrs. Fussell in the Martin Cemetery.
