Grace Lorene Fye, age 88, a resident of Disney, OK, died Friday October 17, 2008 at her home in Disney. She was born February 3, 1920 in Stigler, OK the daughter of Jim N. Cook and Eva May Manley Cook. She was reared and received her formal education in Stigler before moving to Choteau, OK where she and Oren Leo Fye were united I marriage. In 1940 she moved to Disney and was one of the original settlers there. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Langley for many years and was attending the First Baptist Church in Disney. She and Oren owned and operated the Dairy Snack, Rogers cabins and trailer park for many years and had served Disney as Mayor, on the City Board and Election Board. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing cards. Grace leaves behind one daughter, Pat Locke of Disney, OK, six grandchildren, Diane Hartsfield of Rogers, AR, Pat A. Rogers of Jenks, OK, Will Rogers of Zena, OK, Shannon Ferguson of Disney, OK, Jamison Locke of Frisco, TX, Corey Locke of Houston, TX, one sister Flora Mc Key of Quinton, OK and ten Great grand Children. She was preceded in death by her husband Oren Leo Fye and in 1994 and two daughters, Shelba Rogers and Johnnie Mae Fye. Funeral services will be Monday October 21, 2008 at the first Baptist Church in Disney at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Hood officiating with interment to follow in the Spavinaw - Strang Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
