Grace Hulsey

Grace Cora Hulsey, Grove resident, died Saturday January 23, 2010 at Integris Grove Hospital at the age of 95 years. Grace was born February 2, 1914 at home near Flint in southern Delaware County to her parents Edgar G. Moyer and Ollie (Pifer) Moyer. Grace was a member of the 1932 graduating class Sand Springs High School in Sand Springs, OK. She worked for Delaware County Agent in Jay, where she met and later married the love of her life, Charles Leslie (Les) Hulsey on November 22, 1936. Grace worked for the Putnam City School System in Oklahoma City from 1957 to 1970. Upon their retirement, Les and Grace moved to Grove on the lake in 1973. Grace was a very active member of the Grove First United Methodist Church until her death. She was a member of the Grove Untied Methodist Women and more particularly, the Doris Lou Circle. For many years, she was very active in the Republican Women's Association and a local book club. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Les, in 1993, and one grandson, Zachary Hulsey. She leaves many loving memories with her family, daughter, Charlene Byrne and husband Chuck, of Fairhope, AL, son, Charles and wife Corey, of Grove, daughter, Patty White and husband Charles, of Grove; grandchildren, Cindy Byrne and husband John Evanowski, David Byrne and wife Julie, Jonathan Goodwin and Grant Hulsey; Step-grandchildren, Karen Calvert and husband Donnie, and Scott White; Two great-grandchildren, Cody Goodwin and Iris Hulsey; Step great-grandchildren, Tessa Bales, Kalee Bales, Claire White and Cannon White; many nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends. Viewing will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday January 27, 2010 at The Grove First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Randy Hamill officiating. Interment will be in Olympus Cemetery.
