Funeral services for Grace Earlene Sanders are 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 30, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service. Grace Earlene Sanders, 68, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was born August 8, 1948 inn Jefferson City, Missouri to Earl Henry and Grace Helen (Woodland) Hudgens. Earlene is a 1967 graduate of Oologah High School. On June 12 1967 she married the love of her life, Dale Max Sanders in Nowata. Earlene lived in Germany while her husband was stationed there and later moved to Woodbridge, Virginia where she worked in the Pentagon. In 1991 they moved to Nowata. She enjoyed reading, working in her yard and flower gardens, as well as doing cross-stitch. Earlene was a die-hard sooner fan. She loved her dogs and she made them a part of her family. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She held a special place in her heart for them and her family. Earlene will be missed by all who knew her. Earlene is survived by two children, Kim Decowski and her husband Chester of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Kristopher Sanders and his girlfriend Dona of Nowata, Oklahoma; four sisters, Nancy Hinkle of Grove, Oklahoma, Brenda Anderson of Nowata, Oklahoma, Jackie Cox and her husband Bob of Nowata, Oklahoma, Paula Liddell of Nowata, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Patrick Decowski, Samantha Decowski, Chelsea Decowski, Kristine Decowski. Earlene is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Hudgens; her husband Dale Max Sanders; a brother, Larry Duncan. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
