Gwyndolin Meadows, 76, of Grove, Oklahoma died at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 09, 2008 at Grandwood Sunrise Village in Grove. Gwyndolin was born July 28, 1932 in Webb City, Missouri to Winnett Greene and Ethel Bertha (Merrit) Mahurin. She was the youngest of 12 kids. On May 28, 1948, she married Robert Earl "Bob" Meadows. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1961 and Gwyndolin went to work for Western Electric as a Coil Winder for 17 years. She and Bob were founding members of the Scottish Country Dancers in Oklahoma City. They moved back to Webb City in 1999 and then Gwyndolin moved to Grove in November 2001 following the death of her husband. Gwyndolin was a member of the Scottish Country Dancers Association and she was an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Meadows on November 10, 2001; one son, Jay Meadows in 1990; one daughter, Robin Cooley in 1991; one granddaughter, Brandy Cooley in 1987; and one great-granddaughter, Paige Palmer in 2008; eight brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include one son and his wife, Terry and Ruth Meadows of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters and their husbands, Jill and Patrick Challis of Verdigris, OK and Connie and Mark Norris of Grove, OK; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, December 12, 2008 at First Christian Church in Grove with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating.
