Harley Mitchell

Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555.... Harley Lee Mitchell, 89 year old Vinita resident, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 10, 2016. Harley was born in Sulphur, OK on April 13, 1927 to Elmer and Pearly (Glover) Mitchell. He was united in marriage to Easter Mae Echols on February 21, 1945 and together they raised two sons. Harley worked at Eastern State Hospital for 40 years. He also enjoyed farming, gardening, raising grey hounds and was a member of Family Praise Center. His greatest love was playing his guitar and watching his grandchildren in whatever activities they were involved in. Survivors include his sons: Lonnie Mitchell of Vinita, Jesse Mitchell and wife Marti of Welch, brothers: E. L. Mitchell and Joe Mitchell, four grandsons: Christian Mitchell and wife Phelicia, Zachary Mitchell, Cooper Mitchell, and Clay Mitchell, and one great grandson Ryker Mitchell. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Easter, and siblings: Bobby Mitchell, Letha Orsburn, and Annie Echols. Visitation will be from 2-4p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Family Praise Center church with Pastor Jerry Ogdon officiating. Interment will follow at Pheasant Hill Cemetery.
