Harold Lay

Harold (Bud) David Lay was born February 1, 1947, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Virgil Harold Lay, and Stella Mae (Huggs) (Lay) Payton. He passed from this life at Bartlesville Care Center, in Bartlesville, Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Bud attended Nowata Schools and later served twelve and a half years in the United States Army. In 1968 he married Judy Wilcox. Bud worked in the construction business doing all types of jobs. He could do just about anything that dealt with the building industry. He really enjoyed having a good time and the Dallas Cowboys were his favorite team. Bud very much cared for his family and friends at the Bartlesville Care Center. He will be missed by many. Preceding Bud in death are his father Virgil Harold Lay, and a sister Delores Jean Lay. Survivors include his mother Stella Payton, sisters Coeda Compston, of Bartlesville, Elizabeth Eccleston, of Noel Missouri, three nieces, Michell Inman, Melissa Laywell, Heather Garavaglia, one nephew, Zach Eccleston, two great nieces, Hannah Laywell, Baylee Laywell, a great nephew, Jordan Inman, many other relatives as well as a host of friends
