Harold Salyer

Harold E. "Eddie" Salyer, 62, a resident of Grove passed away at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Monday, March 09, 2009. He was born in Oklahoma City on August 11, 1946 to Harold H. and Dorothy (Todd) Salyer. Mr. Salyer served in the United States Marines during Vietnam. Mr. Salyer has lived in the Grove area for over fifteen years, he and his wife Marilyn attended the First Christian Church in Grove, and he was also active in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. He likes to read, watch NASCAR and help others. Eddie is preceded in death by his father Harold and a sister Mary M. Gregorio. Survivors include his wife Marilyn Salyer of the home, his mother Dorothy Salyer of Oklahoma City, a brother Robert Mitchell Salyer of Vermont, a sister Dorothy Susan "Susie" Akland of Minnesota, a daughter Tori Smith and grandson Jade Caress of Noble, Oklahoma along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A service for Eddie will be Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Grove with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating.
