ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Harriet Lorene Wilcox, 90, of Bartlesville, entered Eternal Rest on May 2, 2015 at Heritage Villa Nursing in Bartlesville. Harriet was born on October 23, 1924, to Margaret Davidson Sandwith and Harry Sandwith at Girard, Kansas, and spent her childhood years in Girard. Harriet was baptized into the First Baptist Church during her high school years in Girard, and remained in the Baptist faith for the rest of her life. Upon graduation from high school, she was employed at the Girard bakery, where she met her first husband, Fred R. Keller. They were married on May 1, 1942, immediately prior to Fred's two years of World War II military service in Iceland. They had two daughters, Freda in 1944 and Elizabeth in 1946, both born in Girard, Kansas. Harriet was a housewife until Fred's death in 1968. Following Fred's death, Harriet began her work life in 1968 as a Nurse Aide at the Geriatrics Unit of Jane Phillips Hospital. Two years later, she met and married Joe W. Wilcox in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Both retired in 1981 and began to thoroughly enjoy retirement by traveling, visiting friends and family, and RV'ing. Their families could always expect an invitation to join them at Grand Lake for summer holiday get-togethers, and their many happy years together continued until Joe's death in 2012. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe Sandwith; two sisters, Alfreda Smith and Adelene Burch; her husbands, Fred Keller and Joe Wilcox, and her beloved, first daughter, Freda Witt and husband, Eugene. Survivors include daughter, Elizabeth Ralston and husband, John; grandson, Mike Spalding and wife, Kelli; granddaughter, Jennifer Robertson and husband, Mike; granddaughter, Lisa Delaloye and husband, Stephen; and sister, Betty LaPiere. Other survivors include seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Harriet will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ralph Stafford officiating. Private interment will be in Dewey Cemetery, Dewey, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Monday, 2 -8 p.m. and Tuesday, 8 a.m.- 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
