Hazel Worthington

Hazel Worthington, age 89, died on March 1, 2011 at her residence in Newton, Kansas. Hazel was born on February 20, 1922 in Liberal, Kansas to Arthur T. and Carriemae Mintonye Barksdale. She was united in marriage to A.C. "Bud" Worthington on November 23, 1941. She and bud worked along side each other for years in the Ministry. They started churches in Colorado, pastored churches in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Hazel was the Mother of three children who all preceded her in death Gerald Worthington, Clifford Worthington and Julene Hare along with Hazel's husband Bud who passed away in January of 2011. Survivors include seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Carl Boonstra officiating. Interment will follow at Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.
