Heinz J. "Brent" Dietsche, 91 year old Afton (Gran Tara) resident, died Saturday evening, November 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1919 in Mannheim, Germany to Erwin Karl Dietsche and Erma (Becker) Dietsche. Mr. Dietsche was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from October 2, 1942 to November 8, 1945 during World War II. He was a Clinical Psychologist for many years at the Eastern State Hospital in Vinita and had also worked in Vocational Rehabilitation at the Home of Hope. Mr. Dietsche received his Psychology Degree from Stanford University, his PHD from the University of London, he had attended both, USC and UCLA, and done his graduate work at the University of Tennessee. Brent married Anna Jewell Price on June 25, 1956 in Knoxville, Tennessee, they had made their home in Oklahoma since 1964. He was a member of the Fellowship of Believers Church in Langley, Oklahoma, the American Psychological Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family includes: his wife Anna Jewell Dietsche of the home, son Mike Dietsche of Norman, daughters, Marcie Johns of Washington, D.C., Elizabeth Montgomery of Nashville, Tennessee and a nephew Peter Kroger of Frankfurt, Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Waltraud Kroger. The graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Caledonia Cemetery, in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.
