Helen Boyles

Helen Maxine Boyles 61, of Chelsea died at the Colonial Terrace Care Center in Pryor at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009. Helen was born on January 14, 1948 in Casey Grand, Arizona to Charles Chester and Juanita June (Center) McCord. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1966. Helen was a nurse aid and most recently worked at the Pottowatomie County Nursing Home near Spiro, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Greer New Assembly Church in Chelsea. Helen loved to cook, can, and sew clothes for her family. Helen was very talented at baking and decorating very elaborate cakes. She could make the best cinnamon rolls and consequently they were in high demand, people would call her just to ask if she would make her famous cinnamon rolls. Helen kept a very extensive doll collection. She is survived by her 3 children Leona Fountain and her husband Robert J. of Tulsa, William R. Boyles Jr. and his wife CJ of Tulsa, and Leslie Lawrence and her husband Randy of Tulsa, 2 step-sons Jerry Terry and his wife Tonia of Okmulgee and Terry Terry and his wife Tina of Beggs, 17 grandchildren Robert Fountain Jr., William A. Fountain, Montana S. Fountain, Cynthia Tatum, Steven Tatum, Michael Williams, Frankie Williams, Mitchell Williams, Trey Kingery, Sambrena Kingery, Dillion Terry, Dalton Terry, Destiny Terry, Michael Terry, Michaela Terry, Kristria Terry, and Samuel Terry, 2 sisters Willie L. Hall and her husband Floyd of Chelsea, and Linda K. Price and her husband Charles of Kansas City, Kansas, 1 brother Charles Archie Leroy McCord of Blanca, Colorado, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Juanita McCord, 1 grandson Allen C. Fountain, and 1 sister Mary Doyle. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 in the Greer New Assembly Holiness Church 5 miles east of Chelsea with Wayne Hall officiating. Final committal rites will be accorded Ms. Boyles in the Winganon Cemetery.
