Helen Lorine Bridgeman, 86 year-old rural Big Cabin resident, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at her home. She was born June 26, 1923 in Douthitt, Oklahoma (near Miami) to William and Delphia Margaret (Donaldson) McCauslin. Helen married Sonny Bridgeman on August 3, 1939 in Vinita. She had worked as a cook at several area restaurants and lastly at Cinch, retiring from there in 1988. Helen had been a member of the Couch Home Demonstration Club was recognized for making pies at the Craig County Fair and was proud of her family and 70 years of marriage to Sonny. The family includes: her husband Stanley of the home, five children, Stanley Bridgeman and wife Juanita of Big Cabin, Lorena Dean and husband Harold of Vinita, Bill Bridgeman and wife Sandy of Pampa, Texas, Alesia Cox and husband Darrel of Vinita, Regina Pippin and husband Jeff of Locust Grove; sisters, Lena Tidwell of Novato, California and Charlotte French of California; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents, a granddaughter, Teresa Dean in 1983, two great-grandchildren, David Stelle in 1985 and Anthony Stelle in 1990. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carselowey Cemetery with Mr. Darrel Cox officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
