Helen D. Pettinato, age 90, died Monday May 5, 2008 at her home. Helen Deloris Pettinato was born on May 24, 1917, to Caroline and Albert Gladoski, in Lambert, Montana. She was raised and educated in eastern Montana and attended Eastern Montana State University, followed by ten years as an elementary school teacher. Helen married Russel Pettinato in 1949. They made their home in Spokane, WA, for twenty years, where Russell was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company. The family was sent to No. Californina for eight years before being transferred to Bartlesville in 1973. During her years in Bartlesville, Helen became a Hospice Volunteer for ten years, delivered Meals on Wheels and was an active member of the Community of St. James Catholic Church. She died on Monday May 5, 2008 at her home. Survivors include two sons, Virgil P. Pettinato and wife Cinda of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Lawrence E. Pettinato and wife Sheryl of Belleview, FL, three grandchildren, Logan, Kelsey, and Jordan all of Belleview, FL, two brothers Raymond Gladoski of Arlington, VA and William Gladoski of Klamath Falls, OR. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and six brothers. A Mass of the resurrection will be held at 11:00 am on Friday in the sanctuary of St. James Catholic Church with Father Archie Fernandez officiating. Prayer service for Mrs. Pettinato will be said at 6:00 pm on Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online Condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
