Helen Louise Lampton was born November 21, 1931 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jon ("Teach") Lampton and Addie (Morris) Lampton. She grew up in Guthrie where she received her early education. Helen graduated with the Guthrie High School Class of 1948 where she was the class Valedictorian. She furthered her education by attending classes at UCLA, Los Angeles, California. Helen came to Bartlesville in 2002. She met Marvin Renfroe and they were married that same year. She and Marvin have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Helen was primarily a homemaker but she also did secretarial work before her marriage to Mr. Renfroe. Helen loved dogs and over the years, raised poodles and pomeranians. She was always busy. She loved gardening. She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed crafting and craft shows, was an expert in crochet, teaching crochet at Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, Kansas. She also created crochet patterns and created samples for the Bartlesville Hobby Lobby. She was a volunteer at Green Country Clinic where she received a community service award. She will be missed by all her family and her many friends. She was a member of the Greater First Baptist Church, Bartlesville. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Renfroe of the family home in Bartlesville; two daughters, Angelyn Okon of Phoenix, Arizona and Marion Suazo of Wichita, Kansas; step-son, Curtis Wayne Riley Renfroe; grandchildren, Shawn Harper and his wife, Bianca, of Pasadena, California and Tyrawn Okon, currently serving with the U.S. Army; step-grandson, Curtis Renfroe, Jr.; and many good friends.
