Helen Inez Stewart, 90, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Nowata Nursing Center. She was born September 3, 1925 in Dewey, OK to Webster and Julia (Miller) Trimble. She graduated from Lenapah High School and continued her education at Coffeyville Community College. Helen married the love of her life Mac M. Stewart Jr., in Lenapah, on September 3, 1947. She was a member of the Lenapah First United Methodist Church as well as the Nowata County Historical Society, and the Home Demonstration Club (HCE). Helen was a volunteer at the Nowata Historical Museum. Above all Helen was a homemaker. Caring for her family was what she did best. Helen held a special place in her heart for her husband, children, grandchildren, and others. She was a loving woman that will be missed by all who knew her. Helen is survived by two sons, Tom Stewart and wife Mary of Delaware and Charles Stewart of Delaware; two grandchildren, Trayson Stewart and wife Mindy, Tallie and Jon Gregg; three great-grandchildren, Tobie Daye Mitchell, Tyller Shaye Mitchell, Karsyn Elizabeth Gregg. She is preceded in death by her parents, Webster and Julia Trimble, her husband, Mac Stewart, JR., and a brother, Allen Trimble.
