Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555............... Helen Louise Thompson, 90 year old Vinita resident, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015. Helen was born in Tulsa on August 28, 1924 to Manuel and Pearle Jenkins. On July 25, 1946 in Twin Falls, Idaho, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Bob Thomson. Together they raised two children. Helen was a lovely woman. She was hardworking, dedicated her life to nursing, and loved her family and the Lord. In 1957 Bob and his brother Bud built the home Helen designed. They have lived in that home ever since. Survivors include her husband Bob Thompson of the home, daughter Nancy Thompson of Langley, son Gary Thompson and wife Charlene of Vinita, granddaughter Dr. Renee Carter and husband Dr. Joel Carter of Zachary, LA, great grandchildren: Lily, Noah, and Eli Carter, siblings: Arlon Jenkins of Claremore and Reda Gilley of Mt. Grove, MO. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
