Helen Mae (Minars) Woodall, 80 year old long time Vinita resident, went to be with the Lord early, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Craig General Hospital. She passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on June 2, 1932 in Anderson, Missouri to Milburn E. and Nancy Katherine (Cheatham) Minars. Helen attended school and graduated from Anderson High School. She married M. E. "Pud" Woodall on December 7, 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Vinita. Helen worked for several places over the years, including, the chief evening operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone, health and patient care, the 800 Apartments for six years, and retail sales. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vinita, where she once taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and volunteered in other departments. Helen formerly was very involved in the Campfire Girls. Everyone called her mom until the great grandkids came along and then she became Granny. Her family was her whole life. They were her every thought and desire. She did everything she could do to make every holiday and every birthday a very special day with a big family gathering. The family includes: her husband, M. E. "Pud" Woodall of the home, a son, Dennis Woodall and wife Cheryl, a daughter, Nancy Dickerson and husband Scott of Vinita; brother,Edward Minars of Arlington, Texas; sister Irene VanWinkle and husband Richard of Neosho; eight grandchildren: Chris Hopwood and Wife Donni, Bucky Hopwood and wife Mandy, Keli Morgans and husband Rick, Ty Dickerson, Shawn Holland, Blane Woodall and wife Courtney, Daniel Woodall and fiancé Jordan, and Christin Woodall, eleven great-grandchildren: Sydney, Tallon, Taycee, Trevin, and Raelee Hopwood, Lexi and Dason Tilly, Drew, Izzy, Caleb, and Ella Morgans, two God daughters, Kathy (Woolman) Markes and Rhonda (Osburn) Redifer; many special nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Charles and Clyde Minarsand wife Ann; and a sister, Virginia Straw. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita. The service will be held, Friday March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita, grandson Daniel Woodall and son in-law, Scott Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow a the Fairview Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Hopwood, Daniel Woodall, Blane Woodall, Ty Dickerson, Shawn Holland, and Nick Morgans.
