Mr. Henry F. Diaz, 67 years old and lifelong area resident, died Tuesday May 22, 2007 at his home in Sand Springs. Funeral services for Mr. Diaz will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Ragsdale of the New Covenant Church of God of Sand Springs, Ok and Pastor J.R. Hill of Pawhuska, Ok will preside over the services, with interment to follow in White Rose Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Neekamp - Luginbuel Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Henry F. Diaz was born in Pawhuska, Ok, December 16, 1939, the son of John Diaz and Mary Louise (Cates) Diaz. He was raised and educated in Pawhuska, Ok. Henry served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army and then Later in the National Guard. Henry F. Diaz and Della Diaz were united in marriage 1967 in Nowata, Ok. Soon after their marriage, Henry started his career with the City of Bartlesville water department and retired with 35 years of dedicated service in 1998. Della Diaz preceded Henry in 2001. Henry was remarried on October 25, 2003 to Leatha (Lucy) Lucille Davis and they latter moved to Sand Springs, Ok. Mr. Diaz loved his family and friends and was a devoted Christian. Henry was a member of the New Covenant Church of God in Sand Springs and attended even when he was ill. Henry was a witness for god and an inspiration for his family. He had a passion for gardening and specialized in tomatoes whether in the garden or in pots on the patio. Henry loved the outdoors and spent many nights camping and fishing with his family around the Birch Lake area. Henry was friendly and outgoing and always was willing to help others in any way possible. He will be remembered for his wonderful smile and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Diaz is survived by his wife Lucy Davis his children Marsha Wilson and her husband Alford of Tulsa, Kathy Hickman and her husband Scott of Tulsa, Helen Louise Blevins and her husband Robert of Osage, Ok, Dale Kindred and his wife Barbara of Tulsa, Henry Diaz Jr. and his partner Charles Leon Boggs of Broken Arrow, and a special grandson Steven Diaz of Hominy; three sisters Charlote Malone of Pawhuska, Neda Madden of Wichita Falls, Tx and Flo Fortney of Pawhuska; his mother in law Maggie Cross of Dewey; two special sister in laws Jane and Bessie; 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Diaz is preceded in death by his first wife Mrs. Della Diaz, his parents John and Mary Louise (Cates) Diaz one daughter Crystal Malicoat, three brothers and two sisters.
