Henry Lafremier

Henry James LaFremier, 72, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his home in Nowata, Oklahoma. Henry was born on July, 20, 1939 in San Diego, California to Abel K. and Esther (Perez) LaFremier. Henry attended and graduated from LaHarbra High School, LaHarbra, California. Henry married Norma Ridenhour on April 29, 1961. They moved to the Nowata area in 1970. Together they had five children. He was known as being a good handyman and liked to tinker around with things. He also liked to go to the casino and play computer games. Henry also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. LaFremier is survived by his wife, Norma LaFremier of Nowata; four daughters, Jennel Wood and husband Steve of Bartlesville, OK., Michelle LaFremier of Nowata, Lanette Kramer and husband Russ of Shrewsburg, Pennsylvania, Kristi Showalter and husband Jeremy of Lyons, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Wood, Zach Wood, Jakob Kramer, Alec Kramer, Wyatt Showalter, Deacon Showalter, Greta Showalter; two sisters, Lillian Corville of Lattabra, California, Renie Rutledge of Virginia Beach, Virginia, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Esther LaFremier; one son, Jason LaFremier; one grandson, Christopher Wood; and one sister, Margaret Williams. Funeral services for Mr. LaFremier will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Nowata, OK. with interment following at Ball Cemetery.
