Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 -- Hermine Bennett, 84 year old resident of Vinita, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Heartsworth Senior Living Center. She was born on October 21, 1930 in Frauenburg, Austria. Hermine was married to Belman Carlos Bennett, they met while he was stationed in Germany, serving in the United States Army. She worked for several years at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita, as a nurse's aide. Growing up in Austria, Hermine was a talented singer and Zither player. She enjoyed gardening, listening to polka music, and riding her horses. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and a son, Carlos Bennett in 2010. The family includes: her son, Dr. Gregory Bennett and wife Sheila of Huntington, New York; grandchildren, Casey Bennett and wife Amber, Dustie Speer and husband Brian, Sarah Weimer and husband David; great-grandchildren, Avery and Bo Bennett, Tayler and Adlie Speer; a sister, Sussie of Austria, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives as well. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Luginbuel Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Skip McClain officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the Ft.
