Holli Elaine Simmons, 46, a resident of Joplin, MO passed away at Freemen Hospital in Joplin. She was born on March 5, 1962 in Springfield, MO to James and Dorothy (Farrier) Holesapple. Holli worked as a court reporter for eleven years before she started working in the Human Resources department in the public school system. Mrs. Simmons was known for following the kids around to their ball games, she spent a lot of time working behind the scenes for which ever sport the boys were playing at the time. Holli joined the Baptist church when she was ten, then became a member of the Assembly of God. She liked to have her cats around the house, but, she lived her life for her family, her entire family. Survivors include her parents James and Dorothy Holesapple, her children Jeremey Simmons, Brandon Simmons both of Kansas City, stepdaughter Adrienne Vanlandingham of Whitesboro, TX, three grandchildren Alexis, Dalton and Courtney Vanlandingham. Two brothers Leslie Williams and Derrin Holesapple are also surviving. Funeral services for Mrs. Simmons are 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2008 at the First Assembly of God in Galena, KS with Brother Doug Spears officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenfield Missouri Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma.
