Homer Leroy Moreland, age 70 of Vinita, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. Homer was born in Vinita on March 17, 1942 to Eugene and AbbyGail (Killion) Moreland. He was a cowboy and enjoyed riding horses, bull riding, bare back bronc riding, fishing, camping, gardening, deer hunting, and spending time with family. In 2012 he was baptized into the 7th Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife Nancy Moreland of the home, children: Ronnie Moreland, Connie Copeland, and Willena Copeland, siblings: Robin Moreland and wife Jeanne and Timmy Moreland, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, one uncle, A. G. Moreland, siter-in-laws: Julia Veach, Lottie Bunce, and Tina Moore, and brother-in-law George Parrish. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers David Moreland, and Sam Moreland. Memorial services will be 5 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Vinita 7th Day Adventist Church with Pastor Perry Flerchinger officiating.
