Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma Howard Corle, 88, of rural Childers, passed away on May 15, 2014, at his home. He was born on April 5, 1926, to William Cleveland Corle and Pearl Jane (Peaveyhouse) Corle at Rahea, Washington, Arkansas. He was married on June 15, 1949, at Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Georgia Madeleine Marrs. They made their home in the Childers, Nowata County, area most of their lives. Howard was a retiree of Reda Pump in Bartlesville, retiring in 1991. He was also a veteran, having served in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He also enjoyed his family, especially when he was working alongside his grandsons doing a project on the farm. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Madeleine; a grandson, Clay Soloy; a brother, Leonard Corle; and his sister, Edith Tidball. Surviving Howard are the following: his children, Glenda and her husband, Lawrence Soloy, of Belton, Missouri, William (Bill) Corle and wife Mary of Delaware, and Robert (Bob) Corle and wife Joanne of Parsons, Kansas; six granddaughters, Cary Ann, Diane, Katie, Paula, Tammy, Tracy; five grandsons, Gates, Thomas, Howard Charles, Robert Jr., Bill; 28 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service for Howard Corle will be held at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery in Childers. Family visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
