Howard Olen Pendergraft, 74 year old Lifetime Jay, Oklahoma area resident, passed away, Sunday November 13, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Howard was born in Jay, Oklahoma on the fourth of July, 1937 to Loren and Lyndall (Dickson) Pendergraft. He attended Jay High School and worked as a dispatcher for the Delaware County Sheriffs Department. Howard was an avid sports fan, but above all he was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved working puzzles and fishing, as well as helping with local politics. Howard is survived by a sister, Hattie Storey, of Wagoner, Oklahoma, a brother, Harold Pendergraft of Lawton, Oklahoma, a niece, Sheila Cox and husband Jim of Inola, Oklahoma, a great niece, Rachel Cox of Inola, and two great nephews Daniel Cox and John Cox, both of Inola, Oklahoma. Funeral Services for Howard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, in Jay, Oklahoma. Brother Mark Wall and Chaplain Kevin Webster will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma.
