Hudson Clark

June 11, 1939 — August 26, 2007

Hudson Pitts Clark, age 68, a lifetime resident of Bartlesville, died Sunday August 26, 2007 at Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville. He was born the son of Edgar Waite Clark and Patty Pitts Clark on June 11, 1939 in Bartlesville where he was reared and received his formal education graduating from Bartlesville High School. He attended the University of Tulsa where he earned his Bachelor's and Masters Degree. After graduation he moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where he met and was married to Arene Peacock on October 5, 1962, and returned to Bartlesville to make their home. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. in the treasury department until his retirement in 1993. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed woodworking, traveling and ballroom dancing where he and Arene won many awards. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife Janice "Arene" Clark of Bartlesville and a step son, Kevin Clark of Bartlesville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Eddy W. Clark Jr. and a sister Peggy Doll Snyder. Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp - Luginbuel Funeral Home at 10:00 a. m. Thursday August 30, 2007 with Matt Coffman officiating. A private interment will be in the Highland Cemetery in Pawnee, OK under the direction of the Neekamp -Luginbuel Funeral home. A memorial in Mr. Clark's name has been established with the American Cancer Society. Those who wish to make a donation may do so in care of Kathy Leeper, P.O. Box 1094, Bartlesville, OK 74005.
