Ina Turner

Ina Mae Turner (95) passed away Friday November 25, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Ina was born December 20, 1926, in Cache, OK to Clarence M. Lee and Etta Mae (Wimple) Lee.

Ina grew up and attended schools in Cache.  She graduated from high school as the Valedictorian.  After graduation, Ina attended secretarial college.

Ina married the love of her life, Gilbert L. Turner on February 6, 1949.  They lived in Borger, TX for a short time, before being transferred to Bartlesville, OK.  Ina and Gilbert loved Bartlesville and made it their home for over 50 years.
Ina worked as a secretary for Trinity Baptist Church for many years which gave her the opportunity to meet many people. She was also a member of the Women’s Mission Union. One of Ina’s greatest passions was teaching 5th & 6th grade Sunday School.  Ina loved the Lord and was a great witness for Him. She was light on a hill and will be deeply missed.

Ina was survived by her son; Craig Turner, Brother and Sister–in–Law; Clarence Wayne and MaryAnne Lee, Sister–in–Law; Coweta Lee, Sister–in–Law; Retha Lee, Son–in–Law; Mike Washington, grandchildren; Josiah Turner, Nicole Turner, Bryan Pittman (partner Jennie Strupeck), Adam Pittman (wife Meghan), Allison and Husband Michael Snider), Cory Washington (wife Darcy), Nicole Washington (partner Con Murphy), seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Etta Mae Lee, husband; Gilbert Turner, daughter; Pamela Turner Washington, and two brothers; Joe Bill Lee and Bobby Gene Lee.
