Inez Snider

Inez Marie (Greiner) Snider 92, was born in Stillwater, OK on August 27, 1919, She passed from this life on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Southtown Nursing Center in Bixby, after an extended illness. She was married to Collis F. Snider for 67 years and they resided in Vinita, OK most of their lives. Inez was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Vinita and was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and mother of three children, Sam Snider, Sue Bacon, Diane Welch and foster parent to nephew John Greiner. Inez had a deep abiding faith and was an example to her family and all who knew her. Inez was preceded in death by her husband Collis F. Snider, parents, Pius and Maude (Huston) Greiner, siblings, Harold, Joe, Claude, Pius, Wilford, Bernard, Mary Emenhiser, and Genevieve Gardner. The surviving family includes: a sister Ruth Patty and husband Bill of St. Louis, MO; her three children, Sam Snider and wife June of Kansas City, MO, Sue Bacon and husband Jim of Fredericksburg, TX, Diane Welch and husband Bruce of Bixby; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren (another on the way) and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. The family visitation and viewing will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the St. Clements Catholic Church in Bixby; the Rosary will start at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Clements Catholic Church in Bixby, with Rev. Leo Ugonna Ahanotu officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery 9101 S Harvard in Tulsa. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
