Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Isaac N. Culver, 71, resident of Eucha, Oklahoma, died September 6, 2018 at Integris Grove Hospital.
Isaac, known to his friends as "Ike", "Cracker" and "Primo" was born on February 20, 1947 in Jay, Oklahoma. He was the son of Troy and Bonnie (Cunningham) Culver. Ike proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his service, a land mine exploded, killing the driver of the vehicle, and left Ike in the burn unit of the Fuji Hospital for five months. Ike was a recipient of two purple hearts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and telling tall tales around the campfire. Ike was always ready to give you advice, if you needed it or not. He could always be heard saying "that's just the way I am".
Ike worked various jobs including a parts house manager in Kansas City, Missouri, he was a very talented florist, and most recently worked on constructing mobiles for FEMA.
Ike was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Bonnie Culver, and four sisters, he is survived by two children; his brother David and his sister Mary Ann, and a host of other loving family members.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Duffield Cemetery, Jay, Oklahoma. Military Honors will be provided by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team and the Jay American Legion. Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
