Isaac Helm

Isaac Joshua Helm, 81 year old resident of Vinita, died Thursday evening, October 16, 2008 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born September 27, 1927 in Miles, Oklahoma to Lillie Mae (Moulder) and Isaac Helm. Isaac married Phoezine (Akers) in Des Moines, Iowa 54 years ago on January 29, 1954. He worked as a mechanic until his retirement in 1986. Isaac was member of the First Church of God in Vinita and the Dale Peace Post #40 American Legion of Vinita. Phoezine Helm passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The Family includes: his wife Phoezine of the home, seven children, Charles Waters, Linda Poore, Dennis Waters, Diane Barongan, Deborah Smith, Stella Snider and Darlene Bond; a sister Thelma Jones, a brother Fred Helm; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter Melodee Entsminger preceded him in death also. The funeral service for Phoezine and Isaac will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God in Vinita with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating.
