Adams are 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Lenapah Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry Coldren officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Iva A. Adams, 98, lifelong Delaware resident, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Journey Home in Bartlesville, OK. She was born October 1, 1917 in Nowata County to George and Olive (Morris) Teufel. Iva attended Delaware and Nowata Schools. On September 4, 1938 she married the love of her life William C. Adams in Delaware. She was a homemaker and worked very hard raising her five children. Iva enjoyed cooking and canning food for her family. She was always baking pies and loved to try new recipes. She enjoyed sewing and crafting with beads. Iva also loved watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Iva was a member of the United First Methodist Church in Delaware. She was a member of the quilting club there. As a young adult, she and her husband worked with the youth group at the United Methodist Church of Lenapah. Above all she considered her family the pride and joy of her life. She held a special place in her heart for her husband, children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She had so much love for each and every one of them. Iva will be remembered by all. Iva is survived by five children, Norita Akers of Bartlesville, Roy L. Adams and wife Dawn of Delaware, John Adams and wife Susan of Kansas, OK., David Adams of Delaware, Jerry Adams and wife Geneva of Owasso; one brother, Fred Teufel and his partner Juanita Moody of Nowata, thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, thirty-three great-great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Norma Adams of Nowata. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Olive Teufel; her husband of 69 years, William C. Adams; three brothers, Tom Smith, Emery Teufel, Jim Teufel; a sister, Georgia M.
